This year the Singapore Polytechnic Entrepreneurs’ annual Chinese New Year Lohei dinner takes on a meaningful twist as members of SPEC welcomed other alumni from the SP Alumni community and students from the Business School, specialising in Entrepreneurship Option to join them in the traditional lohei tossing and sumptuous dinner.
Held at the Singapore Polytechnic Graduates’ Guild on 27 January 2012, alumni and students were eager to hear the honest and courageous entrepreneurial stories of our SPEC members while dining with them. This out-of-the-classroom learning experience inspired our students and alumni to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams even more. SPEC President, CEO of TechSource Systems Pte Ltd, Mr Alex Lo, and SPEC Exco member, Mr Daniel Tan, shared their personal entrepreneurial experiences with the audience and encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to join SPEC as an alumni group. In all things tradition, SPEC also presented a cheque donation to the SPEC Scholarship Fund which was accepted by SP Principal, Mr Tan Hang Cheong, on behalf of SP.
The Department of Industry Services provides two schemes for aspiring entrepreneurs which are the YES! Startups and SPICES Fund. For the YES!
