“To Health with Love” with Diploma in Nutrition, Health and Wellness

The Diploma in Nutrition, Health and Wellness (DNHW) students assisted in “To Health with Love” event on 16 March 2012. The event was held in conjunction with Dietitians’ Day at the Nutrition Health and Wellness Centre (NWHC). This nutrition education programme was jointly organised by Jurong Health Alexandra Hospital’s Dietetics and Nutrition Department, Health Promotion Board and Singapore Polytechnic for the Pertapis Centre for Women and Girls.

A total of 20 participants (mothers and daughters) attended the nutrition workshop conducted by Miss Eliza, Dietitian from Jurong Health. This was followed by a cooking demonstration by Celebrity Chef - Miss Forest Leong. The young girls from the Pertapis Centre participated in a cooking competition to create a healthy recipe. Their creations were judged by Grace Koh from Health Promotion Board, Mrs Lee Hee Hoon from Jurong Health and Ms Yvonne Ban from Singapore Polytechnic.

All the participants had fun learning how to cook healthy dishes and they all walked away with attractive prizes!
