The aim of this Diploma-plus Certificate in Business Mathematics & Economics (PCBME) is to strengthen the mathematics, statistics as well as economics knowledge of our business and management students to prepare them for related business degree studies in university. The knowledge gained will ease their assimilation into the university degree studies.
A survey of the typical first year modules in our local universities for business courses show that mathematics/statistics and economics are two main subjects to be taken as foundational modules.
The PCBME will be offered to eligible students from the following courses:

Note: Students who have completed the Business Mathematics module and Calculus module in PCBME will not be eligible to read MS1381 (Mathematics for Business) as an elective. MS1381 is a year 3 elective module whose credit units count towards the calculation of cumulative GPA.
