Many DMIT students aspire to further their studies in university. Feedback from local universities indicate that polytechnic graduates are generally weak in their mathematics foundation, which is essential for their course of study in university.
A survey of typical first year modules for IT courses in local universities show that students have difficulties in understanding mathematics taken as foundational modules.
The aim of this programme (PCM) is to strengthen the mathematics knowledge of DMIT students to prepare them for related degree studies in university.
The PCM will be offered to eligible students from the following courses:
