To prepare our graduates to meet the challenges of the world today, the Diploma in Environmental Management and Water Technology (DEWT) offers a multi-disciplinary programme with possibilities of overseas exposures, from around Asia to the States. Being a basic commodity, coupled with increasing urbanization, there is now a growing global demand for water solutions. With the aim of becoming a Global Hydro Hub, Singapore's water industry is set to grow even further.

The course offers:

  1. 12-week internship.
  2. Environmental Projects 1 & 2 which are linked to the industry through environmental and water-related companies.
  3. Environmental Projects 1 & 2 which are linked to the industry through A Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate (CDlO) framework that prepares students to be work ready, life ready and world ready.
  4. An option for students to take a Diploma-plus certificate course which will continue to train students to acquire knowledge, skills and the right attitude for work and life.

DEWT Students in Best Project Award 2014 - 28 Mar 2014

A student team from DEWT participated in the Polytechnic Student Research Project 2014.

LEAP Foundation at Kota Tinggi, Malaysia- 21 Dec 2013

ABE student ambassadors participated in a 4 day leadership programme in Kota Tinggi, Malaysia from 16 - 19 Sept 2013.

Overseas Community Project in Cambodia - 30 Oct 2013

21 students and 2 staff from School of ABE and staff from Mercy Relief embarked on a community project in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Makassar Trip-OCIP 2013

Students from School of ABE and lecturers embarked on a 14 days community project in Makassar, Indonesia in Sept 2013.

Visit to Tropical Aeroponics Pte Ltd - 19 July 2013

Year 1 students from Diploma in Environment Management & Water Technology visit Tropical Aeroponics Farm at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserves.

Youth Leadership Training Programme in USA - 9 July 2013

25 Students across 13 diplomas from 6 schools ventured on a 20 day leadership trip to Stanford University, USA.
