The Diploma in Landscape Architecture is a three-year full time course and it aims to train designers who are competent in theory and practice in landscape design. A good foundation in horticulture and environmental awareness for ecology will balance the emphasis on the integrated design approach of landscaping and architecture. Through this practice oriented training during internship, students also learn to be independent workers as well as team players in landscape architectural practice. General Education Modules are also incorporated into the programme to provide a broad-based training for our graduates to be versatile in the knowledge-based economy.
Students will work in design projects with personalised guidance. A variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, case studies, field trips, hands-on etc will be used to facilitate experiential learning. Design presentations will be conducted to allow interactive learning in developing confidence and communication skills.
