Diploma in Experience and Product Design (DXPD) JAE Code: S51

Overview Entry Requirements What You'll Study Your Future Student Project Gallery

Overview

The future is in products and services that project an 'experience' beyond what they are – one that goes beyond form and function but also delivers an experience that engages, enlightens, and creates enjoyment. That's where a product finds its meaning.

Such is the approach taken by the Diploma in Experience and Product Design (DXPD) course. We aim to ignite the spark of genius in you, producing Experience and Product Designers that will create 'moments' of engagement between users and objects. You will be exposed to the many facets of experience design from the edible to the intangible; from spaces to services; from the user research to the designed solution.

Course Highlights

  • DXPD partners and works with various renowned companies and organisations on design projects, developing novel, innovative and relevant experiences. Companies and organisations would include: DBS Bank, OCBC, P&G, DEL MONTE, SYMANTEC, HEWLETT PACKARD, URA, NEA, etc.
  • International opportunities to exhibit your work in venues such as the prestigious Salone Satellite in Milan and Maison'd Objet, Paris. Beyond that, students' works gain exposure at prominent local design fairs as well!
  • Students get the opportunity to work on projects involving immersive overseas experiences. Students travel to another country for several weeks to understand and immerse themselves in new cultures
  • Enriching curriculum that includes workshops and guest lectures by international designers as well as design specialists
