SPEC Makes an Impact on Students

The Singapore Polytechnic Entrepreneur Club (SPEC) supports Singapore Polytechnic’s philanthropic initiatives to help students in need financial assistance. A total of 10 SPEC Awards totalling $20,000 were awarded to 10 recipients recently at the Contributors & Donors Luncheon on the 26 November 2013.

The SPEC Awards, made possible through the generous donations from the SPEC donors, are awarded annually to current Singapore Polytechnic (SP) full-time students based on academic performance and financial need.

One of the SPEC Award recipients, Celin Neo from the School of Business (SB) was very appreciative of the award. “I was very elated to receive this award as it motivates me to strive harder for both my academic studies and co-curricular activities (CCAs). This is important to me as it not only means my hard work has paid off but also helps with reducing my parent’s burden of financing my tuition fees. I am so grateful towards SPEC and the donors,” she expressed.

SPEC President Daniel Tan shared “I am very proud to award our annual SPEC Awards to 10 deserving SP students. These students were selected based on their academic achievements and family financial background. This would not be possible through the kind contributions by our SPEC members and SP. We are very grateful to all our past and present donors.”

To make a financial contribution to support financially challenged SP students in good academic standings through the SPEC Award, please contact Jelena at [email protected] or 6590 2761. Your contribution will qualify you for 2.5 times tax deductions of your donation amount.
