Provide SP Students with funds of up $3000 to test-bed their business ideas
SPICES was launched by the Enterprise Centre of Department of Industry Services with the objective of providing funding for students to test-bed their business idea before venturing it as a full fledge business.
How does the scheme work?
Through SPICES, SP will provide funds of up to $3000 for each approved business proposal and provide incubation and mentoring scheme to successful applicants.
Eligibility
- Full-Time Student with SP at the time of application
- The proposed business should be above & beyond school curriculum (Not an ongoing graded assignment/project)
- The proposed business shall sustain for at least 6 months in operation
Evaluation Criteria

Innovation and Creativity of the idea/concept
Student must be able to demonstrate their involvement in executing the idea

Sustainability of the business
The business has to sustain for at least 6 months from the date of implementation

Feasibility of the proposal
Student must conduct proper research and analysis of the market in order to justify that the business is feasible
Submission Procedure
Applicants may submit their business proposal at any time of the year. The documents required for application SPICES Fund are:
When all required documents are ready, you may submit to the officers-in-charge as stated below. Once we've received your application, we will arrange for a meeting and evaluation which will be held every last Wednesday of the month. All applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their application two weeks before the evaluation.
