This summit helps industry partners understand the relevance of the design thinking process with the objective of providing user-centric design solutions when resolving complex issues of today. The objective is to develop capabilities to build a culture of innovation for the industry.
The summit comprises of an opening address by Mr Soh Wai Wah (PCEO, Singapore Polytechnic), presentations by reputable speakers, followed by a delightful panel discussion. We were honoured to have Mr. Jeremy Yeo, Vice President/ Head, User Experience Jewel Changi Airport as the Guest-of-Honour. The keynote speakers were Mr. Dashio Karma Tshiteem (Chairman of Bhutan Royal Civil Service Commission, Royal Government of Bhutan), Ms Anastasia (Assistant Director for Co-lab, Ministry of Manpower, Singapore) to name a few. About 400 attendees attended this event. They included design thinking practitioners, SP staff and participants from various regional institutions.
Our role was to work with UXC staff to design collaterals during the planning stage of the event, recruit and train volunteers to ensure the smooth delivery of the event. Overall, the event was a great success as the event was well received by attendees who became more aware of the benefits of the design thinking concept.
