Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre 40th Anniversary Charity Dinner
Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre (AMKFSC) 40th Anniversary Charity Dinner celebrated 40 years of enriching and enhancing the lives of the community they serve. The theme for AMKFSC’s
40th Anniversary is “Nurturing Generations”.
Held in Raffles City Convention Centre, the event gathered long-term donors and sponsors of AMKFSC. The dinner was graced by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong as the Guest-Of-Honour,
along with special guests Minister Ng Chee Meng – Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC), to name a few.
A team of Diploma in Integrated Events & Project
Management (DEPM) students planned, conceptualized and executed the Foyer Exhibition, which included table sales and an art exhibition. The team played a critical role in liaising with external parties, such as local talented individuals, AMKFSC’s
students and suppliers. They also contributed artefacts which were meant for the auction in the event. The students remained mindful of the budget to prevent any overspending.
Guests were impressed with the handmade works done by talented
individuals and AMKFSC’s Student Care Centre children and received positive feedback. The event was featured on various social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
Through this event, the students learnt the importance of teamwork
and communication. Overall, it was a challenging yet fruitful journey.
