Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign 2018
Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign (ADAC) is an annual programme organised by Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) and National Council Against Drug Abuse (NCADA). Themed “#DrugFreeSG”, the campaign aimed to raise awareness and promote a healthy, drug-free Singapore.
The campaign comprised of roadshows in Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL) and various parts of Singapore, the Inaugural Light Up in Marina Bay Sands, and the 20th edition of the annual anti-drug dance competition – “DanceWorks!”.
For this project, a team of Diploma in Integrated Events & Project Management (DEPM) students promoted and facilitated the roadshows, light-up, and dance competition. Additionally, the team had to conceptualise, plan and execute IHL roadshows held in Singapore Polytechnic (SP). The tasks for the roadshow included event creation and conceptualisation, marketing and promotion, designing, logistics procurement, volunteer management, collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) Clubs, and event execution. The team was also given the opportunity to present their event proposal for the Anti-Drug Abuse Campaign in 2019.
ADAC 2018 events were featured on various media platforms such as CNB’s Facebook and Instagram page, SP’s Instagram page, Home Team NS and The Straits Times webpage.
Overall, this campaign was a success in promoting and garnering support for a drug-free Singapore.
