4iCare Outing to Marina Barage 2014

15 Sep 2014

The School of Architecture & the Built Environment 4iCare organised a field trip to the Marina Barrage for a group of 30 international students on 7th May 2014. Many of these international students, who have only started living in Singapore this year, took the opportunity to visit the island’s largest and most urbanised water catchment.

The purpose of the trip was to allow the students to get to know each other better and to familiarise themselves with Singapore. Some year two students also participated in the trip as mentors, facilitating the afternoon’s ice-breaking games. The international students thoroughly enjoyed themselves that afternoon as they played games and at the same time, learned about Singapore’s river history and the Barrage as well.
