A group of year 3 students from the Diploma in Integrated Events & Project Management (DEPM) submitted an innovative proposal and showcased their presentation skills at the Asian Federation of Exhibition and Convention Association (AFECA) Asia MICE Youth Challenge 2015.
The challenge, which attracted 16 other teams from China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and Singapore, took place in Kuala Lumpur from 11 to 13 November 2015. The students presented their proposal entitled “The Not So Little Red Dot” for a conference and exhibition event that also markets Singapore as the preferred MICE destination. The team’s presentation impressed the judges and managed to clinch a special recognition award.
The students who participated in the challenge commented that the competition has broaden up their perspectives. It was an eye-opening experience for them to meet other international students and to hear about their presentation ideas.
