DARCH students collaboration with Library@Orchard in the news
18 Nov 2014
A group of second and third year students from the Diploma in Architecture and their lecturers collaborated with the National Library Board in 2012, on the design of the newly opened Library@Orchard.
The students applied what they learnt about space design in Architectural Design Studio into the design of the library. Through the process, they also got to learn how to apply Design Thinking methods to understand their users, and thus better hone their design solutions towards meeting user needs. The students participated in this project as part of the ArchiLab team, and did this outside of the curriculum.
Here are some of the articles featuring the opening of the new library.
