05 Nov 2015

Four classmates from 3rd Year DCEB (Yeo Chee Cong, Brian Ang, Teo Yong Chian and Roger Koh) won the top prize of $2000 in Productivity Race 2015 at Singapore Expo on 15 Oct 2015. This is the second year in a row that they have won the top prize.

The race was part of the key highlights of Singapore Construction Productivity Week (SCPW) 2015 which was organised by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA). The Productivity Race provides an engaging and interactive platform to instil productivity awareness among tertiary students and helps them to identify productive technologies and systems that can be adopted in the built environment sector.

The second prize, of $1500, also went to four female DCEB students (Chok Man Ming, Lim Jia Qi, Oei Yuan Fang Fann and Nicole Eloise Luza Vale)

About 200 students, in 50 teams, from the ITE, Republic Polytechnic, BCA Academy and Singapore Polytechnic participated in the Productivity Race. The event was graced by Senior Minister of State, Ministry of National Development & Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr Desmond Lee. Singapore Polytechnic student team (Tan Xin Wei, Michelle Ng, S Vinodan and Aw Ming En) accompanied Mr Desmond Lee for the race.
