Six students from the Diploma in Integrated Events & Project Management (DEPM) assisted the event organiser Singapore Exhibition Services during the Food & Hotel Asia Exhibition.
A biennial trade event, Food & Hotel Asia which ran from 12 - 15 April 2016 is the premier trade show for the food and hospitality industry in Asia. Spread across 97,000sqm of exhibition area at Singapore Expo, the event served approximately 48,000 delegates from 90 countries.
The students involved distributed and collated questionnaires on behalf of the organiser to approximately 3,000 exhibitors on-site. They also had the opportunity to communicate with both local and international exhibitors on their experience and gained feedback for the organiser.
This student participation at Food Hotel Asia 2016 has been facilitated through the "Recruitment in Marquee Events" programme which provides students ad-hoc job opportunities with industry partners at major brand-name events.
