72 first year students from the Diploma in Hotel & Leisure Facilities Management embarked on a 4 days 3 nights study trip on-board Super Star Gemini, sailing towards Penang and Langkawi from 4 to 7 October 2015.
During the trip, the students were given tours of the kitchen galley, laundry area and casino. They also had the opportunity to attend talks given by the cruise management team regarding the operations in various departments such as entertainment, food & beverage and rooms division.
The students also had plenty of fun participating in various activities organised on-board as well as a short excursion visit to the famous Penang bridge and the Red Garden hawker centre in Penang where they get to try out the local specialties such as Char Kway Teow and Penang Laksa. The students also took a brief stroll at Langkawi where they were surrounded with crystal clear waters and beautiful forested hills.
