Diploma in Landscape Architecture students participated in URA Parking Day event 2017

Students from the Diploma in Landscape Architecture (DLA) participated in URA Park(ing) Day event held on 16 September, Saturday. This is an annual worldwide event where community members transformed parking spots into temporary public spaces. You can read more about the event HERE.

3 teams of DLA Year 3 students set up their displays along Tan Quee Lan Street, forming part of the 85 PARKs for members of the public to enjoy various interactive activities.

SOUND Team: A sound pipe installation that can create music by hitting and knocking onto them FISH Team: Participants can fish out little plastic fishes from an inflatable pool in order to win a free cold drink
CR[E]ATE Team: Park allows visitors to use recycled materials for potting activity to encourage recycling
