Diploma in Interior Design (DID) Day 2021

26 Oct 2021

The yearly DID Day celebrates the end of Semester One and brings together existing students, alumni and industry partners to share, learn and network. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this year saw DID Day online, bringing together over 130 participants.

Alumni Teo Cjia Min and Yong Yi Xun from Mins Studio shared their SP works and internship experiences. Giving insights on how those experiences shaped and influenced their studio works. Alumni Francine Chan shared how research techniques in her SP third year project, influenced her choice of further study and helped her get admitted into Goldsmiths University of London.

Current students Ryan Chen and Isaac Heng shared their third year 1:1, 9 Grid project. Demonstrating the translation of film into a spatial design.

Industry partners, Yann Follian from WY-TO, Rishabh Lakhanpal from Space Matrix Design Consultants and Patrick Basilio from Andy Fisher Workshop answered students’ questions on how to better prepare their portfolios and internship tips to prepare them for working life.

The celebrations ended off with a student performance by Ryan Chen, Isaac Heng and Caleb Chan, demonstrating their musical talents (not to mention rendering skills)!
