DLA Internship Workshop 2018

28 Sep 2018

Internship is a necessary phase in the Diploma in Landscape Architecture (DLA) course. It provides DLA students a 12-week attachment in the various sectors of the landscape profession. The internship companies who take part in the internship programme are from government agencies, consultancy firms in the private sector, landscape managing agents and landscape specialists companies. The internship supervisors give their valuable time and effort to mentor the DLA interns. The participating internship companies in turn have the opportunity to give back to the landscape sector by nurturing potential landscape professionals for Singapore’s future landscape sector.

During the period of internship, interns return to campus for a workshop to share about their experience and knowledge gained at their workplaces. This year, DLA lecturers took this opportunity to further enhance the learning by inviting external speakers to talk about Industry Transformation Map (ITM) of the Landscape Sector and to dive deeper into their understanding of Universal Design for landscape.
