Biomedical Science students given opportunity to deepen skills at Tan Tock Seng Hospital

Berita Harian, 21 September 2016 - Article featured SP’s Diploma in Biotechnology (DBT) graduate Muhammad Zikry Zhiwei Bin Roslee (Class of 2016) as one of the students who completed an internship at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) under a previous memorandum of understanding (MOU). Zikry got the opportunity to research on HIV as part of his internship. He shared that he pursued the DBT course as he was inspired by his grandmother to contribute back to the community. Article also mentioned that one of the objective of the second MOU that was signed between SP and TTSH is to tap on next generation sequencing to identify superbugs and prevent their spread and infection. The new MOU will also provide more learning opportunities for students like Zikry to deepen their skills and nurture their interest in biomedical science.
