04 Sep 2020

Channel NewsAsia , 4 Sep 2020 - Article featured 24 year-old SP Biomedical Science alumna Giam Yan Hui. After graduating from SP, she gained direct entry into the third-year of the degree programme in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Dundee in Scotland. She is now a PhD student looking into treatments involving anti-inflammatory drugs that could treat or reduce lung inflammation in COVID-19 patients. In the article, Yan Hui shared her experience with the lockdown in the UK and how her sudden change in area of research came as a result of COVID-19. While Yan Hui is not optimistic about the possibility of returning home for Chinese New Year, she is hopeful that she will be able to visit Singapore in June next year, before her graduation in 2022.
