DEB Alumnus, Marcus Poh, Received MaritimeOne Scholarship

DEB alumnus, Marcus Poh, who graduated in 2014 with a Diploma with Merit, has been awarded the MaritimeONE scholarship sponsored by "K" Line Pte Ltd. He will be pursing the BSc (Hons) in Maritime Studies at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). In his final year in SP, Marcus spent his internship at United BMEC where he worked with their client, staff of Changi Hospital, and contractors to design and implement an improved delivery trolley that helped reduce contamination. 2 years later, that internship experience was to play an important part in his application for the scholarship. Marcus wrote: “My internship with United BMEC Pte Ltd has also helped me to impress the panel of interviewers during the interview.”
