The Cup of Rice program was organised by Fei Yue Family Service Centre to collect rice from the neighbourhood in Yew Tee. In support, MAE staff contributed by donating bags of rice while 18 MAE students with other volunteers and resident came to help out on 4 June 2016. This event was graced by Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC MP Mr. Alex Yam. In total 12,000 kg of rice was donated to needy families under the helping hands of Fei Yue Family Service Centre.
Individually or even as a school, our effort may seem small but Dr. Martin Luther King Jr once said: "No work is insignificant. All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence."
