MAE Students Win at SIE Challenge Award

Four MAE students under the Facilities Option won the top prize of $1,000 at the SIE Challenge Award. They received their prize during Singapore Polytechnic Engineering Show Partners’ Networking Evening held on 21 January 2016.

The members, Muhd Nizar, Mohd Azali, Lutfi Haiqal and Mohd Yazid, worked on their final-year project that involved the design and fabrication of a motorised transporter for a patient at the Cheshire Home.

SIE - “Social Innovation and Engagement” - is an arm of our holistic education to imbue a heart of compassion and a spirit of innovation among students and staff to serve people and society through the use of appropriate technology to improve living conditions and livelihoods of the underprivileged.
