Punngol Polyclinic was officially opened by labour chief and Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Ng Chee Meng on Wednesday (May 23).

Robotic technology was one of the key highlights for the polyclinic’s Outpatient Pharmacy Automation System (OPAS).

The Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC) is proud to be appointed by Integrated Health Information System (IHIS) & Getech Automation, to design and build the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) that was featured in the opening.

Automation helps the polyclinic to:
•       eliminate human error and improve accuracy by up to 99.95 per cent
•       dispense medication to patients more quickly and accurately
•       handle 50 per cent more prescriptions, up to 150 an hour, double the capacity of packing by hand
•       save 180 man-hours a month
