SP’s journey at ITAP since its inception in 2018:

1. SP has been participating in ITAP since its inception in 2018. Over the last 3 ITAPs, we have built our presence at each ITAP to launch key initiatives and programmes with our strategic partners so as to strengthen SP’s position & mindshare as a leader in i4.0 transformation that evolves with the industry, for the industry. SP’s active participation in ITAP is aligned to SP’s new mission to uplift and support the transformation of the industry, especially the SME sector. Below are some key highlights over the last 3 ITAPs.

ITAP 2018:

2. 2018 was the first ITAP held in Singapore and it was also the first time SP started participating in it. It was the start of our humble begging at ITAP. We had a booth to showcase SP’s Advanced Manufacturing courses that we have curated to support the industry to upskill the workforce. It was in 2018 that SP was selected as the Advanced Manufacturing SkillsFuture Series Lead.

ITAP 2019:

3. At ITAP 2019, we launched SP’s Pedagogical Approached Model of Mindsets, Skillsets and Behaviours as a structured model to help companies transform. This was a significant milestone in our journey to support companies to transform in a holistic and structured approach. SP showcased AM ecosystem capabilities and initiatives such as Advanced Manufacturing (AM) LEAD Best in Class & Company & Workforce Transformation (CWT). We also announced the collaboration with TUV SUD to help companies make sense of SIRI with a practical approach. We had a number of notable VIP visit to our booth such as DPM Heng and SMS Koh Poh Koon. We also had delegates from overseas such as from Vietnam, Thailand, Brunei and Indonesia.

ITAP 2020:

4. At ITAP 2020, SP was selected as one of the 4 Physical Bolt-on. It was a year in which there was no physical exhibit at EXPO due to covid19 pandemic. SP rose to the challenge and we had another significant milestone. SP launched the Advanced Manufacturing Learning Journey (AMLJ) together with our partners TUV SUD, SITA and Delta. SP AMLJ helps companies to show them the way of transformation and means to measure its progression. It has been highly successful since its launch with visits from notable VIPs such as Minister Chan Chun Sing and Minister Maliki. More than 150 companies have walk through the AMLJ which has helped companies to practicalise SIRI and take the first steps to embark on their i4.0 journey.

Delegates will also understand the 5G use cases that are relevant to Advanced Manufacturing.
