Jwan-lim

Biography
Associate Professor Jawn Lim is a design futurist and an innovation consultant. He consulted for companies in property development, hospitality, healthcare, F&B, technology, and finance. He frequently serves as a judge for awards in branding, design, and technology. At the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), he is the Deputy Cluster Director of the Business, Communication, and Design Cluster. Simultaneously, he is the program leader of the university-wide Design Innovation module that trains 3,000 non-design students in Design Thinking and Design Your Life principles.

In the futurists’ circles, Jawn is contributing as the Co-founder of the Teach The Future Singapore Hub, Founder of the Speculative Futures Singapore Chapter,and the Program Director of the Emerging Fellows Program at the Association of Professional Futurists. Currently, he is the Chief Design Officer at the Singapore Productivity Centre and Board Advisor at the Singapore Polytechnic’s Media, Art, and Design School.

Previously, Jawn was an architectural designer with Arquitectonica, Marmol Radziner, Hetzel Design and Pritzker Laureate, Frank Gehry. Some of the notable projects he worked on are the Columbia Space Center in Downey, California with Arquitectonica and the Opus Luxury Condominiums in Hong Kong with Frank Gehry. Prior to SIT, Jawn taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and Harvard Graduate School of Design.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Architecture) from NUS, a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture, an Advanced Certificate for Executives Management, Innovation, and Technology from MIT and a Doctor of Design from Harvard.


Hong Khai Seng

Mr Hong Khai Seng, Founder and Director of Studio Dojo. Having been in the digital and experience design industry for 20 years, Mr Hong advises and coaches creative leaders and their organisations to be healthier and more effective. He is on School Advisory Committees for SP’s MAD as well as NUS’ Division of Industrial Design. He is also Vice-President of Design Business Chamber Singapore, the nation’s only multidisciplinary design association.


Dr Sng Hock Lin

Biography
Dr Sng Hock Lin is the Chief of Silver Generation Office, the outreach arm of the Agency for Integrated Care in Singapore that focuses on older adults engagement. The Agency has a dedicated pool of passionate volunteers who encourages older adults to live actively and support those with needs or risk factors. A leading advocate for active living and successful ageing, Hock Lin holds a PHD in Gerontology from the Singapore University of Social Sciences and his area of interests include active ageing, citizen-centric services, leadership and organisation transformation. In his role, Hock Lin is also driving volunteerism as a national cause to empower seniors to take charge of their own well-being, inspiring community care efforts across the country to ensure their seniors live well and age gracefully.


Dorothy Lai

Biography
Dorothy Lai is Director of the Public Service Media Division at the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), a statutory board in the Singapore government that seeks to create a dynamic digital economy and a cohesive digital society, driven by an exceptional infocomm and media ecosystem.

With over 25 years of experience in various executive roles spanning frontline customer services, strategy development and public policy administration, Dorothy is currently responsible for the planning and execution of Singapore’s public service media (PSM) strategies to drive creation and delivery of engaging local content for audiences in Singapore and beyond. IMDA works in close partnership with Singapore’s key PSM players, notably Mediacorp, and across the ecosystem of digital media players and content creators to enhance the quality and reach of local content across platforms. Dorothy also oversees the provision of the Singapore Television Audience Measurement (SG-TAM) service, the first single-source, multi-platform measurement solution and official source of TV viewership in Singapore, delivering insights on media consumption trends for the media and advertising industry.


Mr Eric Sng

Biography
Mr. Eric Sng is currently overseeing Youth Mental Health & Volunteerism Capabilities at SHINE Children and Youth Services. A social worker by training, he has served in social services for more than 15 years and have a range of experiences in youth development, diversionary, outreach and mental health work. He is passionate about pioneering new programmes or approaches to close service gaps and meet needs more effectively. He also enjoys developing the next generation of social service practitioners and is a social work seminar tutor, field educator and lecturer at the National University of Singapore.


Jane Goh

Ms Jane Goh

Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH)

Biography
Jane is the Deputy Director of Creative & Youth services at the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH). In her work, she oversees the suite of preventive and rehabilitation youth services provided at SAMH. It comprises of four different centres that provides psychosocial intervention, mental health screening and assessment and clinical intervention for the youths. As a mental health practitioner and clinician trained in the field of art therapy and psychiatric rehabilitation for more than 20 years, she has played an instrumental role in trailblazing creative services in the community for mental health and has piloted a few creative centres that integrates expressive arts, sports and outdoor. She also serves as an advisor to SUSS and Singapore Poly for their graduate diploma in expressive arts and Media and Arts Design.

Jane holds a Masters of Art in Art Therapy from LASALLE College of the Arts, a Bachelor in Fine Arts from Curtin University, Diploma in Bowen Therapy from the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia and underwent the Advanced Senior Management Programme for Non-Profits at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. She is also Maxwell certified coach and trainer.

In her free time, Jane also enjoys coaching and guiding people in their profession and growth. She also spends her time volunteering at active aging centres working with seniors and contributing in different ways to build up a ‘Kampung spirit’ neighborhood.


Elaine Poh

Elaine Poh has over 25 years of experience in the media industry, focusing on strategic media planning across various platforms, steering structure, commercial and operations excellence for Publicis Media. She manages media channel partnerships, drives value creation, and delivers business outcomes for clients across both local and multinational brands. Her category experience spans across Automotive, Banking & Financial Services, Consumer Electronics, Consumer Packaged Goods, Public Service, and Travel and Tourism.

When not spending time with clients, her passion lies in grooming the next generation of media talents, with her time spent in shaping learning and development programs for the agency and close collaboration with schools on knowledge exchange and internship programs. She was awarded Gold at Marketing Interactive Agency Leader of the Year 2024.


Eugene Chin

Eugene is the Director of Talent Development and Covering Director of Strategy & Governance at the DesignSingapore Council (Dsg).

At Dsg, he spearheads key initiatives to integrate design into our national skill sets, ensuring that our workforce is not just ready for today but is prepared to thrive in the future. This includes formulating and implementing policies and programmes on bridging skills gaps and fostering a design-centric approach to education and training. These initiatives benefit designers, non-designers and students across General Education, Pre-Employment Training (PET), and Continuing Education and Training (CET). He is also an active member of several School Advisory Committees at various Institutes of Higher Learning.


Crystal Chu

Biography
Crystal involves in major design directions of the studio. She participates in creative conceptualization, design development & overall management of the design studio. An Honours Degree holder in Museum & Exhibition Design from the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside, United Kingdom, Crystal has acquired her experiences, through her academic pursuit and working stints, specialized knowledge as well as work experiences for more than 22 years in the design industry. Her diverse portfolio includes multiple attractions for the Shangri-La Group, Galleries & Museums for National Heritage Board, Theme parks for Universal Studio and Experience Centre for the Changi Airport Group among others.

Apart from being an outstanding academic performer with scholarships and design awards to her name, Crystal is appointed as a member of the Design Education Advisory Committee by Design Singapore Council, Ministry of Trade & Industry, Singapore and also sit as a Member of Design and Media Academic Advisory Committee at Institute of Technical Education, contributing industry insights to Singapore Design Education.


Darren Yeo

With over a decade of experience in human-centred design, UX, and experimentation, Darren currently leads experience design at Keppel’s Real Estate Division, exploring integrated experiences in commercial buildings and other assets with cross-functional teams. Previously, he was the Principal UX Strategist and Chapter Lead at Singapore Airlines, and Experiments Lead at the Transformation Office at DBS Bank. Darren holds an MSc in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management from Imperial College London and a BA(Hons.) in Industrial Design from NUS.

Guan Hin has over 400 creative awards and notable roles, including being the Jury President at the Cannes Lions and other prestigious events. As GM of Space Lion Studios, Paul oversees the strategic growth and operations of the business, including finance, marketing and client servicing. Paul has worked for the past 28 years for some of the top regional companies in the TV & Film Industry including Yarra Films, Elastic, Blackmagic Design and Beach House Pictures. Paul’s career encompasses extensive experience across a range of disciplines from production, post-production and VFX to business development and management. Whether producing award-winning documentaries for Discovery Channel, (HIMALAYAN TSUNAMI, Winner of ‘Best Documentary’, Indian Television Academy Awards’), executive producing ASIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL S3 for Fox International Channels, co-producing BAIT 3D stereoscopic horror movie, or post managing numerous series for Netflix, Amazon, Nat Geo and Curiosity Stream Paul has consistently delivered compelling and high-quality content for international audiences.


Nur Hidayah

Ms Nur Hidayah Abu Bakar

Biography
Nur Hidayah is a design-educator engaged in furthering design thinking and education in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Her expertise lies in design curriculum and she has led the development of many of the design programmes at LASALLE including the BA (Hons) Design Communication, MA Design and the newly launched BA (Hons) Design for Social Futures.

Prior to joining LASALLE, Nur Hidayah worked in a full portfolio of design communication systems ranging from copywriting, design and art direction projects across major industry segments. Coupled with her extensive teaching experience of more than 20 years, Nur Hidayah has been instrumental in the transformation of the Faculty of Design into a leading faculty for Southeast Asia.

A deep believer of the interconnectedness of design aesthetics, education and industry, Nur Hidayah has initiated several collaborative partnerships with various design institutions. She has led the research and study of design cultures in contemporary Asian cities between Singapore, Seoul and Shanghai and undertaken the Global Design Initiative involving five international universities looking at design as a research tool. Her recent projects include; PLACE – a study on creative entrepreneurship for designers, mentorship for young female designers through the Women in Design week initiatives and she continues to foster innovation in design pedagogy and connect education, industry and community.

Over the years, her excellent interpersonal and management skills have enabled her to inspire many students. Her vision and foresight has helped nurture these students into leaders that have contributed to Singapore’s creative landscape. Under her leadership, the design programmes have achieved great success at regional and international design competitions and showcases, including the D&AD Student Awards, The Crowbar Awards, and Graduate Fashion Week in London.

Nur continues to serve as an expert on various boards in Singapore. Her current appointments include National Parks Board and as a member of the Design Education Advisory Committee, DesignSingapore Council.


May Tan

Biography
May Tan has 20 years of public sector experience primarily in strategic planning and sector development. May has led in shaping the development of the arts and cultural sector in various capabilities. Currently, as the Director of Education and Development at the National Arts Council (NAC), her role combines her experience in planning, research and programme development with her belief that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the arts and/or realise their aspirations in the arts. Together with the Education and Capability Development team at NAC, May works closely with Ministry of Education on both pre-tertiary and tertiary arts education programmes as well as in close consultation with the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and Institutes of Higher Learning on manpower development programmes.

Previously, May was also the Director of Literary Arts, leading in sector development policies and grant-making for sustainable growth and systematic change. She has initiated and worked closely with industry players on industry-wide programmes such as “Buy Local, Read Our World” and engaged international partners in key platforms such as Frankfurt Book Fair (Germany) and Southbank Centre (UK). She also worked on the set-up of a standalone operational structure for the Singapore Writers Festival and eventually oversaw transition of the operational structure to The Arts House Limited.

During her time at NAC and Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA), May has had the privilege of working on strategic projects with socio-economic impact such as the setting up of the first specialised arts school in Singapore (SOTA) as well as the Renaissance City Plan. Heading the Strategic Budgeting Department in MICA, May led in the determination of funding formula coupled with performance management for large-scale national projects and statutory boards.

May was awarded the MICA Family Scholarship in 2012 and graduated with Master of Science in Development Management from the London School of Economics (UK) and was conferred the Bachelor of Science in Economics from the National University of Singapore.


Choong Chyi Kei

Starting Aux Media Group for Chyi Kei was a dream and a passion that had its roots in his childhood. With more than 20 years in the events industry, Chyi Kei led the company to the forefront of Extended Reality (XR) productions in 2020. Since then, Aux Media has been using this innovative technology in not just the MICE industry but also into the cinematic world of films and content creation. Currently, he is leading the 2 LED volumes (XR stage and ICVFX stage) @ Aux Infinite Studios.

Responsible for the production of English entertainment and sports content for platforms like mewatch, youtube, channel 5, CNA and social media. Produced shows like The Big Spark, Earthshot Prize, National Day Parade, President’s Star Charity, New Year Countdown Show and the upcoming South Korean music gameshow format ‘I Can See Your Voice’. Also responsible for production and coverage of mega sports events like The Olympics and SEA Games.


Evan Low

Biography
"An IMDA Media Education Scheme Scholar, Evan graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music with a Magna Cum Laude in Bachelor of Music, majoring in Professional Music. Throughout his ever-growing career, his versatility has seen him take on multiple leading roles in every aspect of the music industry. From engineering for David Foster and Nathan East, to composing for brands such as OkCupid and eBay.

Evan has produced and performed alongside artists such as Nathan Hartono, Linying and The Sam Willows with hit songs amassing more than 10 million streams. He has also collaborated with other creatives in the industry, creating multidisciplinary works in collaboration with the likes of visual artist, Sam Lo (SKL0), and urban dance crew, O School.

He is also Music Director for Singapore music heavyweights Benjamin Kheng and iNCH, and was recently part of the team awarded Best Sound at The Straits Times Life Theatre Awards for his work in 'Til The End Of The World, We'll Meet In No Man's Land' (2020).

Evan continues to hit hard in both commercial and artistic realms. Having taken strides as former creative lead and co-Founder at Zendyll Productions, Evan has also co-arranged and co-produced the 2018 - 2021 National Day Parade Music under the direction of Dr. Sydney Tan. Most recently, Evan penned and produced the well-loved 2021 NDP Theme song "The Road Ahead" with Linying."
