SURESH H PUNJABI
Professional & Adult Continuing Education (PACE) Academy
Suresh H Punjabi is responsible for PACE Academy in Singapore Polytechnic. His experience includes him being Executive Director of Marketing Institute of Singapore, responsible for Membership, Professional Development and Education. Before that at NTUC LearningHub, he held several positions in his time there, including General Manager for Business Development and Director of Industry Skills. Prior to NTUC, he was at Informatics Group as Director of Academic Affairs.
Suresh is an alumni of Singapore Polytechnic, he completed the Dip in Mech Engg. He continued his education with the University of Wales (BSc, Hons, Business Computing and IT), RMIT University (M Bus, IT) and Nanyang Technological University (MA, Education Management).
Administration and WSQ Programmes
Patrick Yang is responsible for Administration (Quality Assurance, Finance, Information Technology, Office Management, Customer Relations and Marketing functions) and WSQ Programmes at PACE Academy. He has held various leadership roles in public and private organisations which include Powermatic Data System, Xircom Asia Pacific, Singapore Land Authority, National Environment Agency, etc. Patrick has extensive years of experience in the fields of Corporate Services, Customer Service, Quality Management, Business Excellence and Training. He is also a National Senior Assessor for Business Excellence and has been actively involved in awards/certifications assessments since 2004.
Patrick received his B.Eng (Hons) in Manufacturing Engg from University of Birmingham and obtained his post-graduate degrees from National University of Singapore (MSc - Real Estate and MSc â€“ Mech Engg) and Nanyang Technological University (MEng by research and MBA).
WONG JIAN CHANG
Wong Jian Chang is a Deputy Director in PACE Academy. He oversees the Outreach division, which includes marketing and business development, as well as collaborating closely with the academic Schools in Singapore Polytechnic (SP) to mount new CET courses for adult learners. His experience spans across various functional roles, including Human Resource in SP; national policy development for the Higher Education sector in MOE, and lecturing in SP.
He graduated with a B.Eng (1st Class Hons.) in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, and a Masters of Science in Computational & Mathematical Engineering from Stanford University in the United States.
YIP HIN WAH
Hin Wah is the Senior Manager overseeing Course Operations within PACE Academy. This includes working closely with the Outreach Division in launching new MOE courses and short courses, ensuring the smooth operations of existing courses, taking care of the courses' structure, their approval processes, examinations and graduation.
Hin Wah holds a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering (Hons) degree and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSc) degree majoring in Wireless Communications. He is a Certified Organizational Systems Security Analyst(tm) (OSSA) and a Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA). He has more than 16 years of combined lecturing experience in Java and Android development, wireless networking and computer network protocols and cyber security.
Billy Chan is the Deputy Director at PACE Academy in Singapore Polytechnic primarily taking charge of Business Development. He started his career as a Test Engineer at SGS ATES (now called ST Microelectronics). He joined Singapore Polytechnic in 1982 to manage the introduction of the compulsory Industrial Training Programme for all students. He has since held various leadership roles in Singapore Polytechnic in technology transfer, industry services and student affairs.
Billy graduated with a 2nd Class Upper Honours Science Degree in Physics (BSc (Hons)) from the University of Singapore (SU). He was awarded the National Academy of Science Award in Physics in 1979. He also completed his Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the National University of Singapore. He was awarded the Long Service Medal (PBS) in 2006 and the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) (PPA (G)) in 2010.
Tristan Lim is the WSQ Programmes Manager in PACE Academy. In his current role, he is leading a WSQ team, responsible for administering the WSQ programmes.
Prior to his current role, he has previously worked in both public and private organisations which include SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), National Institute of Education (NIE), Kaplan Professional and Absolute Kinetics Consultancy Pte Ltd (AKC). Tristan has several years of experience in the areas of business and strategic planning, customer service, quality control and management, and other operational functions. He has led and supported his previous organisations in achieving business excellence awards, ISO 9000 quality management certification and handling external audits with agencies which includes Ministry of Manpower (MOM), SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and Council for Private Education (CPE) and National Resuscitation Council (NRC).
Tristan attained his B.Sc. (Hon.) in Business Management from University of London and his M.A. in Lifelong Learning and Leadership (MA LLL) from Institute of Adult Learning (IAL) and UCL Institute of Education (IOE). He has also attended professional development programmes such as Communication and Relationship Management - Supervisory Level, Supervise Workplace Safety and Health Practices, Manage payroll, ACTA V5 (M4), ACTA V5 (M1 to M3).
As a Marketing Manager, Liz manages PACE’s marketing-related campaigns and lead generation by establishing long and short-term marketing initiatives across various target markets.
Prior to joining SP PACE Academy, Liz was a Management Consultant specialising in Branding and Marketing Advisory for BDO Consultants. She received her Bachelor of Arts (Communications) from Monash University, Melbourne in 2002.
Michelle is currently the Business Development Manager with PACE Academy. She is responsible for corporate marketing and developing corporate training programmes. Prior to joining PACE, she spent seven years with Corporate Communications on school outreach and events management. Her other past experiences focussed primarily on international relations, exchange programmes, business development, recruitment and training with overseas institutions and private education organisations.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Economics and Sociology from the National University of Singapore. She also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and an Advanced Certificate in Teaching and Assessment.
Alicia is currently the Manager (Short Courses) in PACE Academy. She joined SP in 1993 as the Industry Services Officer with the Department of Industry Services (DIS) . She was involved in the local and overseas Industrial Training Programmes for full-time students. In 2004, she joined the Continuing Education Centre, DIS as the Programme Executive administering courses for Adult Learners. In 2010 when PACE Academy was formed, she was appointed as the Business Development Manager.
Prior to joining SP, Alicia had worked in the healthcare and courier services sectors in the areas of Customer Service,Sales Administration and Marketing. Alicia holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the National University of Singapore and a Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the Singapore Institute of Management.
QA and Office Administration
Mary oversees PACE Academy Quality Assurance and Office Administration. Her past experiences were primarily in the fields of Business Excellence, Quality Assurance, Quality Management and Administration.
Mary is a SP alumni, she graduated with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and obtained her B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from Queensland University of Technology.
CHIANG-TAN PEK KIN
Pek Kin is the Academic Programme Manager in the PACE Academy. She oversees the admission, student administration and examination of the part-time diploma courses and post-diploma courses.
Prior to joining PACE Academy, she worked in the SP IT department for 19 years in software development related projects and 5 years as an Admissions Manager in Department of Academic Services.
Pek Kin graduated from NUS with B.Sc degree.
CHIEW LAY PENG
Chiew Lay Peng is the SkillsFuture/Exam Manager with PACE Academy. She oversees the Earn and Learn Programme (ELP) and the examination for the part-time diploma courses and post-diploma courses.
Prior to joining PACE Academy, she worked as an Admissions Officer in another Polytechnic. Her responsibilities was to oversee the student record system and to ensure data integrity across all student related systems.
She graduated from NTU in B.Eng EEE in 2001
ANJUM HAFIZ FARHAN
ACTING IT MANAGER
Farhan joined SP in 2011 and is currently working as Acting Manager (IT) in PACE Academy. He overseas PACE IT Systems i.e. Continuing Education Management System (CEMS), PACE’s Learning Management System (e-PACE), Polymall and Website.
Prior to joining SP PACE Academy, Farhan was working as a Senior Techno-Functional Consultant for higher Education in one of the renowned software house (Techlogix) in Lahore, Pakistan. He received his Bachelor of Science (Honours) Computer Science from University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2008.
Delphine oversees the Online Course section, which includes driving the development of engaging, impactful user interfaces for use within PACE’s e-Learning training initiatives. She is also responsible for collaborating with Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts, and project teams to create effective e-Learning solutions and courses.
Prior to joining SP PACE Academy, she spent several years in training, quality management and administration with organisations in the science and technology and maritime sectors.” She graduated with a B.Sc in Chemistry from the National University of Singapore and is ACTA certified.
As the Customer Service (CS) Supervisor, Faisal manages a team of Customer Service Officers and oversees CS operations on a daily basis in the PACE Academy. Faisal also leads in other coordination portfolios to ensure smooth execution of operations and service delivery to customers.
Prior to joining SP, Faisal held various positions and responsibilities in the Singapore Police Force and the Ministry of Law, and had made many notable contributions in the areas of service quality and innovation as well as operations management.
Faisal is currently in his final semester before graduating with a BSc in Business Analytics from the Singapore University of Social Sciences.
