Building Information Modelling (BIM) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that gives architecture, engineering, and construction professionals the insight and tools to more efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure. It enables great integration and collaboration among different building professionals of various disciplines. Currently, majority of the building plans have to be submitted in BIM format for regulatory approval. This short course aims to develop BIM capability and capacity for companies and professionals particularly on BIM structure modelling to be ready for BIM implantation.

Course Objective

This course equips participants with essential skills at intermediate level on BIM structure modelling using Autodesk Revit 2020. Participants can apply their skills in structure modelling, which include structural foundation, column, beam and floor. Rebar placement for reinforcement concrete will also be covered in the course.

Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Construct BIM structural model
2. Model rebar details for reinforced concrete structure of the building.

Minimum Requirements

Basic English proficiency and computer literacy.
BIM Basic skills using Revit

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the examination and meet at least 75% attendance rate
