By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

Be equipped with BIM Fundamentals knowledge, where BIM concepts and basics will be introduced. Lectures will be conducted through facilitated learning. The module will provide background knowledge on the work processes pertaining to modelling development during project phases. Elaboration on the types of BIM Model will be introduced and their purposes in which they are modelled for coordination and collaboration activities will also be explained. Trainees will also be introduced to the type of BIM software and tools available in the market.

Course Objective

This course aims at providing trainees with the general knowledge on BIM for project planning and implementation. With BIM’s implementation, it will not only improve the design processes but also simultaneously improve the construction processes. There will be lectures and lab hands-on practical sessions where trainees will learn about BIM standards, implementations and coordination to improve productivity for work processes.

Minimum Requirements

The participant shall be a graduate of a relevant Architectural, Landscape Architectural, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or related diploma, with prior CAD software knowledge, from any of the ITE, or Polytechnics in Singapore. Applicants with other equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. \n

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Performance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who pass the examination and meet at least 75% attendance rate
