Course Objective

This course serves as a primer module for participants who wishes to learn digital painting for concept art and illustration but has insufficient experience in the software, Photoshop. As a starter’s level course, it allows students to familiarize themselves with the software first and utilise the toolsets available to create and modify art graphics digitally. Through this course, they will learn both picture manipulation as well as digital painting application. They will also be introduced to fundamentals of understanding form, principles of lighting, and values.

This course provides participants with the basic knowledge of Photoshop to equip participants with the fundamental skills to create and manipulate digital artworks. With these skills, participants are more primed to express their artistry in digital painting for concept art and illustration as well as photo editing.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

2. Use the editing tools in Photoshop to enhance and modify a picture

Minimum Requirements

Able to communicate in simple English, and have rudimentary skills in using a computer. 

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Performance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate
