About This Course
The PCP programme is a 12-month Place-and-Train programme for mid-career switches, displaced or unemployed Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs) from non-chemical background and/or with transferable skill sets from other industries who are currently hired in the chemical sector. We will only accept applications from companies who have signed an agreement with Singapore Polytechnic (SP).
Course Details
There are 2 options for PCP (Chemicals) and companies can opt to place the trainees either under full course or AOP in this programme.
1. Full Course
Companies to make arrangements for trainees to complete 3 modules in SP within 4-months from start of programme.
Companies to provide at least 8-month of On-the-Job training (OJT) to the trainees.
Course Modules
Participants are required to complete the following 3 modules:
1. Apply Workplace Safety and Health Practices
2. Monitor and Operate Process Parameters
3. Use Process Drawings, Diagrams, Schedules and Manuals
Suitable for
Singapore citizens or Singapore permanent residents.
Mid-career switches, displaced or unemployed PMETs from non-chemical background and/or with transferable skill sets from other industries

Degree
Certification
Participant who meet the minimum attendance requirements and passed all the assessments required by the course will be awarded a Statement of Attainment (SOA) for each WSQ course.

Funding Incentives
Eligibility for SSG Funding
1. Singaporean and PRs (company sponsored or self-sponsored)
2. Achieve at least 75% attendance
3. Complete and pass all required assessments
4. Complete post-training survey conducted between 3 to 6 months after course end.
Participants who have been granted the SSG funding but fail to meet the above requirements would be liable for the subsidised course fee.

For Full Course fees: $4,800.00 (without GST)
For Assessment-Only-Pathway fee: $3,000.00 (without GST)
Course fee is sponsored by the company and SSG

This PCP programme is exclusive to chemical manufacturing companies, therefore, not open to members of the public. We will only accept applications from companies who have signed an agreement with SP.
