The Specialist Diploma in User Experience and Digital Product Design (NSUPD) provides a platform for aspiring User Experience (UX) designers and User Interface (UI) designers to pick up the skill sets and knowledge to design digital products like mobile applications, websites, digital interfaces and interactive kiosks.
According to LinkedIn, UX Design is listed as one of the top 5 hard skills most needed in 2019. The demand for UX Design skills has grown tremendously in recent years as organisations increasingly value user-centered design. This cuts across different industries and domains.
This course aims to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills in UX and UI design. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to execute user research, generate user experience design ideas, create prototypes for testing, and communicate outcomes to obtain buy-in from stakeholders.
NSUPD is a post-diploma design programme tailored for diploma or degree holders who want to specialise in UX and UI design in digital product development. This programme does not cover basic design principles, software like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustration, as well as programming languages and front-end development.
