Have you always wanted to set up an Instagram account and post phots? Or just play with the filters and functions within the Instagram app? Join us at this course to learn more about it! Designed for seniors, this course is part of the Silver Infocomm Curriculum – Basic Digital Skills training to help seniors grasp useful digital skills for daily activities such as communications, and searching for information.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to use Instagram to engage and connect with their loved ones for day-to-day communication.
Participants will be able to customise their Instagram profile, as well as create, like and comment on an Instagram post. Participants will also be able to create Instagram stories, and watch Instagram live.
1. Introduction to social networking and Instagram
2. Instagram profile customization – how to add profile picture & how to private your account
3. Instagram features such as Instagram Stories, finding friends
4. How to post a picture or video
5. How to like, share and comment on a post
As part of Silver Infocomm Curriculum, cybersecurity tips will also be covered at the end of the course.
This course is suitable for seniors aged 50 and above, or anyone who would like to gain basic knowledge and skills in these areas
Minimum Entry Requirements / Assumed Skills and Knowledge
Participant should possess basic English proficiency, basic computer, internet browsing skills, and have an email account. Participants are to bring their own mobile devices and have already downloaded the Instagram app from their App Store or Play Store.
Award / Certification / Accreditation
• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate
