Data engineering is an enabler in helping different business functions to get better insights from data by performing advanced analytics. Data engineering is also an integral part of the new world of big data which ensures effective collection of high quality, consistent and fit for purpose data. For example, data engineering helps financial institutions to improve data quality, accuracy and reliability for financial risk management. Data engineering platform helps retailers make sense of their customer data to optimize their merchandising tactics and personalize customer in-store experience. Manufacturing companies use data engineering to take a deep dive in their inventory and sales data to optimize its inventory management. Without proper data engineering processes in place, businesses would never be able to keep up with the influx of data or obtain reliable results from their analysis.

Course Objective

To enable participants to learn about database concepts, architectural design patterns necessary for building data warehousing solutions. Additionally they also learn best practices and methodologies in data acquisition, integration, effective  storage and transformation of data for analytical purposes and downstream applications

1. Participants are required to bring their own laptops for this training
