Have you ever wondered how to check bus timing, plan your journey and know your journey options? Or how to use the Grab app for transport? Designed for seniors, this course is part of the Silver Infocomm Curriculum – Basic Digital Skills training to help seniors grasp useful digital skills for daily activities such as communications, searching for information, payment and other forms of transactions.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to use MyTransport.SG to plan their journey, as well as use Google Maps to search and get to a location. Participants will also be able to use ride-hailing apps to book a ride for their day-to-day travel.
1. Introduction to MyTransport.SG

2. Introduction to Google Maps
a. Using google maps
b. Keying in the start and end destination, and the various journey options
c. Saving a location
3. Introduction to ride-hailing app—Grab
a. Booking a Grab ride
As part of Silver Infocomm Curriculum, cybersecurity tips will also be covered at the end of the course.
This course is suitable for seniors aged 50 and above, or anyone who would like to gain basic knowledge and skills in these areas
Minimum Entry Requirements / Assumed Skills and Knowledge
Participant should possess basic English proficiency, basic computer / smartphone and internet browsing skills.
Participants are to bring their own mobile devices and have already downloaded MyTransport.SG app, Google Maps app and Grab app from their App Store or Play Store. Participants are to already sign up and verify your account with Grab app.
Award / Certification / Accreditation
• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate
