Learn how to map out any value stream, allowing you to identify value-add & non-value add activities. Our course will provide you a detailed and practical approach to learn and apply value stream mapping, how to analyse your value stream and streamline it for a more impactful business value.   

Embarking Industry 40 with LEAN - Value-Stream Mapping

Course Objective

The objective of this course is to give participants a good grounding of the concepts and skills required to perform Value Stream Mapping. Rather than just presenting a set of tools, this course combines the practical element allowing participants hands on modelling of an actual production run, perform critical analysis and designing the action plan.

Course Outline

By the end of the Course, participants will be able to: 
• Identify Organisational Value, Waste, Value adding and non-value adding activities
• Perform Value Stream Mapping to develop the process current state 
• Perform critical analysis of the process Current State and recommend the process Future State 
• Relate on the project dynamics in implementing the process Future State.

1. Introduction to Industry 4.0, overview of SIRI, concepts of organisational value, waste, value-add and non-value add activities
2. Concepts and methodology of Value Stream Mapping
3. Value Stream Mapping Principles and Methodology
4. Lean Manufacturing Principles and Waste Identification
5. Value stream mapping – Current State
6. Hands-on Mapping Session in Manufacturing workshop
7. Critical Analysis of the  Current State and developing the Future state
8. Hands-on "Future-state" Mapping Session
9. Reviewing the new “Current state” for continuous improvements

Minimum Requirements

Possess basic computer skills and basic Microsoft Office

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Performance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate
