The course is designed for technical personnel to acquire specific technical skills in emerging technologies by implementing industry relevant projects.

Course Objective

Participants will be able to embrace Industry 4.0 technologies to help meet Singapore’s workforce needs.

Through this course, participants will: 
• Learn digital technologies and create a project-based solution focusing on real work environment needs
• Show mastery and efficiency in project development by analysing a current system and propose a design (Capstone project) for the improvement of the system
• Develop and implement the proposed capstone project
• Practice professionalism in carrying out tasks within a stipulated period
• Obtain developmental skills to solve a real-world problem

By the end of the course, participants will be able to have a greater insight into what industry expects of employees, as well as opportunities to develop technical workplace competencies and other important professional skills.

Course Outline

• Show mastery and efficiency in Engineering project solution development
- To analyse a current industry need / system and to propose a design (capstone project) for the improvement of the system
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills

• Practice professionalism in carrying out tasks within a stipulated period
- To effectively and efficiently perform duties and responsibilities to meet the needs of clients 

• Communication and Team-working skills
- Communicate effectively in written, oral and interpersonal ways with a range of workplace personnel; work effectively in workplace teams

Course Content & Structure
- Course will be delivered though project-based learning using online resources. Relevant school supervisor will vet project proposal with company endorsement

Minimum Requirements

-Possess a NITEC (National Institute of Technical Education Certificate), Higher NITEC, Diploma or higher qualification in any area of electrical / electronic / telecommunication / communication / instrumentation / control engineering / information technology or a related field.  
-Applicants with other equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
-Applicants should be sponsored by his/her company. 
-Non company-sponsored applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Performance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate
