Course Objective

This refresher examination is for the purpose of Environmental Control Officers (ECO) licence renewal with National Environment Agency (NEA).

Course Outline

You will be provided a set of course materials and are strongly encouraged to self-study the new course syllabus prior to the examination.

The passing mark for the refresher examination is 70%.

Please note that deferment of the examination is not allowed.Deferment is only permitted based on Medical Reasons and National Mobilisation with supporting documents.

Minimum Requirements

Participants of the former Environmental Control Officer (ECO) Course’s Certificate of Performance (or its equivalent).

Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)

  • A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the refresher examination


The Certificate of Completion (COC) will be required for ECO licence renewal with NEA.

Suitable for

Participants who have been awarded a Certificate of Performance (COP) or its equivalent certificate for the formerly known Environmental Control Officers (ECO) course at least 5 years ago.

Course Fees

The course fees payable above are inclusive of 9% GST rate.

Application Procedure

1. All applications must be made via Online Registration

2. Please upload the following documents during your registration.

2a. Former Environmental Control Officer (ECO) Certificate of Performance (or its equivalent) or NEA licence; and

2b. Copy of NRIC or Work Pass (Employment Pass, S Pass, Work Permit)
3. Applicants will not be allowed to take the examination if they have failed to upload their supporting documents and no refund will be given.
4. Applicants are advised to register at least 2 weeks ahead of the exam date.

5. Please note that deferment of the examination is not allowed. Deferment is only permitted based on Medical Reasons and National Mobilisation with supporting documents.

6. Withdrawal or cancellation is not allowed.

7. Examination booking slot is non-transferrable.

8. Payment made is non-refundable. No appeals will be entertained.
