SolidCAM is an integrated CAM software which runs directly inside SOLIDWORKS. This course covers major manufacturing applications from 2.5D Milling technologies to current trend on high efficiency machining (HEM) technology. In addition, there is a practical session included to see live machining.

Course Objective

SolidCAM is an integrated CAM software which runs directly inside SOLIDWORKS. This course covers major manufacturing applications from 2.5D Milling technologies to current trend on high efficiency machining (HEM) technology. In addition, there is a practical session included to see live machining.

Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to use SolidCAM for the following tasks: 
1. Setup work for basic CNC Milling with SolidCAM
2. Select the appropriate machining operations to machine a given part
3. Generate numerical control (NC) code for machining

1. Computer Aided Design (CAD) essentials
2. SolidCAM 2.5D
3. SolidCAM AFRM
4. SolidCAM HSS
5. SolidCAM HSM
6. SolidCAM imachining

Minimum Requirements

• Proficient in listening, speaking and reading English language\n• Be able to interpret technical drawings and blueprints\n• Proficient in basic computer skills\n• Proficient in basic CAD skills especially Solidworks

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Performance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate
