Obstacles course training dates back to the Roman Empire and is still being used as an integral part of military training in different parts of the world we live in. This course provides safe, practical and scientific approaches to training and clearing carry-type and rope-type obstacles in this physically and mentally demanding sport.
This course will introduce participants to carry-type and rope-type obstacles and they will be trained on how to clear them.
a. Identify suitable techniques to overcome carry and rope- type obstacles
b. identify core muscles groups needed to overcome carry and rope- type obstacles
c. develop their personal training regime with bodyweight and/or strength training tools to improve their core stability and strength needed to clear

Understand the sport and its different disciplines

Different heavy carry techniques and their benefits
Practice heavy carry techniques

Participants are coached on practical tips of clearing different obstacles. Program is jointly developed between Obstacle Course Racing Singapore & Singapore Polytechnic.

Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) Enthusiasts/Athlete; Sports Coach; OCR Coach; Ninja Coach
Minimum Entry Requirements / Assumed Skills and Knowledge
Open to all levels of fitness. PAR-Q will be administered before the course. For those who are not able to overcome obstacles, tips, and strengthening exercises will be advised. Coaches will assess and recommend specific exercises as needed. A list of qualified coaches will also be provided to participants.

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate
• Certificate of Performance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Performance will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate
