Course Introduction
This is a basic course on taxation which is relevant to learners involved in accounting, finance, and in taxation. Corporate Taxation is relevant to all businesses (big or small) as it has an impact on the bottom line of the company which will determine its survival in the relevant industry. Particularly for SMEs and Start-Ups, the staff handling tax matters may very well be doing other accounting work. In big companies, they may have the finance or accounting expertise to do taxation matters.
Most, if not all, Finance courses do not provide adequate focus on corporate taxation which includes a practical understanding of doing up the taxes for their companies. This course provides the knowledge and skills with case studies and practical sessions.
Course Objective
The course aims to equip learners, particularly those involved in finance work, with basic tax knowledge to enable them to work out the provision for current and deferred tax of the company.
