The course covers “physical computing” (how to write code which interact with sensors & actuators), visualisation (using “Matplotlib”), data analysis (using “Numpy”), and sending sensors data to cloud (using “Requests”).
In other words, participants will learn a wide range of Python topics and be exposed to a good collection of powerful Python libraries.
This course equips participants with Python programming skills to develop useful IoT (Internet of Things) applications.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Set up a Python programming environment
• Describe the Python syntax rules
• Use Python to monitor common sensors and control common actuators (used in IoT applications)
• Use Python to collect sensor data (used in IoT applications), store it locally, plot it as graph, and perform data analysis
• Use Python to upload sensor data to cloud and to send notification (in typical IoT applications)
