Global media landscapes have seen a rise in digital content platforms and distribution networks. From TV broadcasters and news agencies and to other content publishers such as SMEs and government agencies, there is a big push towards meaningful and engaging digital content. But with so many new digital media platforms and emerging technologies like VR and AR, how does one create effective and engaging content? This course introduces participants to storytelling techniques across multiple media platforms. Learn how to expand story worlds from television to games to emerging media platforms, and to craft an immersive experience for the audience.
To equip non-media professionals to be writers and content creators who can craft stories, videos and reports that can cross different media platforms. Participants will learn know the processes of conceptualising, crafting and developing an idea into media content for different media and consumers whose preferences are constantly changing.
The course seeks to cover the following points:
• Recognise transmedia storytelling fundamentals
• Understand transmedia storytelling platforms
• Craft a transmedia story

Minimum Entry Requirements / Assumed Skills and Knowledge
Participants should ideally have basic writing skills with at least a B4/C5 in English for GCE O-Levels
Award / Certification / Accreditation
Certificate of Performance (electronic Certificate) will be awarded to participants who pass the required assessments and achieve at least 75% attendance.
