The objective of the national initiative is to help Singaporeans prepare for the future economy. Future-ready Singaporeans will welcome and anticipate changes in workplaces. They are aware of current and emerging technology and data trends. They will have the confidence to navigate their learning and career pathways throughout life stages.
Singapore will have a digitally literate workforce in all fields who are confident, resilient, adaptable and attuned to a technology-rich environment.
At the end of the course, participants will be:
1. Aware of what jobs in the future economy entails;
2. Able to work in a technology rich environment
3. Aware of the importance of cyber security in daily / work applications
4. Aware of how data and information can be used
5. Able to develop an action plan to continue learning
This national initiative is targeted at all levels of working adults (including those who are planning to return to the workforce) Only Singaporeans and PRs will be eligible for funding subsidy.
Assumed Skills and Knowledge
Learners are expected to have basic literacy and numeracy as well as some basic digital skills, such as:
1. Being able to operate a personal digital device (e.g. mobile phone); and
2. Being able to use digital communication platform (e.g. email, WhatsApp)

Funding Incentivese2i Funding
NETF is subsidizing $40 out of the $50 nett course fee for the SFDW 2-day foundation module. The subsidy is only applicable to NTUC union member who are Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident. Eligible union member is required to pay $10 nominal fee during registration.
SkillsFuture Credit (SFC)
With effect from January 2016, Singaporeans aged 25 years and above who received their SkillsFuture Credit account activation letter will be eligible for an initial credit of $500 which can be used to pay for course fees for a range of eligible skills-related courses. The credits can be used on top of existing course fee subsidies/funding.
This is only applicable for self-sponsored applicants. Application via SkillsFuture Portal can only be made starting from 60 days before the course commencement date.
Withdrawal and Deferment
Withdrawal and deferment notice must be made in writing to the Professional & Adult Continuing Education (PACE) Academy, Singapore Polytechnic via email accordingly:

For withdrawal cases, the portion of course fee to be refunded is based on the date of notice as follows:
2 weeks before the commencement of the course - Full refund
Less than 2 weeks before commencement of the course - 70% refund
On or after date of commencement - No refund
There will be no refund or transfer of course once the account has been created.
The Singapore Polytechnic reserves the right to cancel or postpone any of the courses. Applicants will be duly notified and where applicable, the full fees will be refunded.
The Singapore Polytechnic also reserves the right to amend the fees charged or the period and duration of the courses.
The data provided to Singapore Polytechnic will be kept strictly confidential and will be used for the purpose of course administration. The data may be passed on to the relevant organisations that require the information related to the course.
