WSQ Operate Inoculation and Fermentation Reactors

What is this course about?

The course provides the participants with a fundamental understanding of fermentation technology to ensure proper operation of bioreactors in the pharmaceutical and biologics industries. This course is especially useful to the operators who are working in the area of upstream bio processing as it equips them with the essential knowledge and skills to perform a fermentation process. The process involves fermentation preparation, fermenter inoculation, fermentation monitoring and control, cell harvesting, biohazard treatment and fermenter cleaning.

The course aims to build a pool of competent personnel who are familiar with fermentation process operation work in a biologics manufacturing environment. It highlights the importance of fermentation preparation, fermenter inoculation, fermentation monitoring and control, cell harvesting and biohazard treatment.

The course adopts company-sponsored in-employment upgrading / Place-and-Train (PnT) or selfsponsored Train-and-Place (TnP) mode of delivery for new entrants into the Pharmaceutical/ Biologics manufacturing industry.

Course Outline

The course aims to:
• Place-and-Train/Train-and-Place new workers as Technicians/Engineers
• Upgrade existing workers in Pharmaceutical/Biologics manufacturing plants as Technicians/Engineers
