The Maritime Singapore Connect (MSC) Office organised the sixth edition of the MSC Connexions Forum 2021 on 8 November 2021. The MSC Connexions Forum is an annual event organised specifically for HR professionals in maritime and education and career guidance counsellors working with students and jobseekers in schools and career centres.

This year’s event was conducted virtually and offered insights on skills upgrading programmes for the maritime sector and featured speakers from Singapore Polytechnic (SP), Workforce Singapore (WSG) and Employment and Employability Institute (e2i).

Capt Mohd Salleh Ahmad Sarwan, Director of the Singapore Maritime Academy (SMA), shared on the wide array of maritime courses offered by SMA, including specialised courses with key industry leaders such as the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, Immigrations & Checkpoints Authority and Port of Singapore Authority. He also highlighted the state-of-the-art training facilities and learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

Mr Wong Jian Chang, Director of the Professional Adult and Continuing Education (PACE) Academy, also joined Capt Mohd Salleh on stage to address questions from the audience and shared that, in addition to Maritime, PACE offers multiple courses spanning across different key industries to meet the needs of learners.
