SkillsFuture SIT 2021
In conjunction with SkillsFuture Month, SkillsFuture@SIT was held on Wednesday, 4 August 2021 with support by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). The event was hosted by the Singapore Institute of Technology, and jointly organised with the other Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) – Singapore Polytechnic (SP), Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP), Republic Polytechnic (RP) and Temasek Polytechnic (TP). 
The virtual event was graced by Guest-of-Honour, Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Education. 

With the theme “Supporting Industry Transformation through Upskilling Singapore’s Workforce”, the event seeks to support fresh graduates and mid-career jobseekers looking to upskill/reskill. With over 50 online workshops across 6 core themes, participants can discover key skills in trend and gain new data insights and perspectives to help them navigate market uncertainties and tomorrow’s challenges to stay relevant and employable.  

Launch of 5G Courses by SP and Ericsson
In Minister’s opening speech, he highlighted the key partnership between SP and Ericsson. With the support of SSG, SP and Ericsson have co-developed a series of hands-on, industry-relevant practitioner courses to uplift the technical capabilities of professionals working with 5G technology.
